GO Team!

Jarrett's baseball team are now 4 - 0! It was a close one tonight but with the help of everyone on the team they pulled it out!
Brandon's team on the other hand.........Ugh! I'm not talking about the kids, but the coaching! I'd go into a big long rant about it but it's exhausting! Not only that but it would get Ea going again!
Speaking of Ea... No baby yet. I'm going to say late Friday or early Saturday. She has a doctor appointment Friday afternoon. I just know that he is going to check her and that will get the contractions going!
Saturday Jason's brother and family were in from North Carolina! I never did see Kevin but we did get to spend some time with Mindy and Miss Becka! Papaw and Mindy took all the kids fishing for a while! Then we played a little at the house. Here's the pictures:

Brayden is not technically one of the grand kids on that side but Jason's parents have always treated him just like one of my boys. I'm positive his little brother will fit right in too!

More Baseball!

Can you see me smiling? Jarrett's second game went much better. The head coach was back and I think all the kids felt good about the game. They also won 3 to 1. The score would have been higher but we left the bases loaded twice. Oh well. All the kids had a really good game.
Brandon's game, on the other hand, was not so great. They only played 3 innings because of the rain. Brandon and 3 other kids set out all three innings. Brandon is just happy to be there so it's not much of an issue. They do have to play all the kids twice in the field and they have to get in 1 at bat so we will see how the rest of that game goes when they finish it on Monday.
Brayden had his big scrimmage tonight too. They were supposed to be on the field but the big boys(Jarrett's team) kinda kicked them off the field so they had to play in the grass. I didn't get to watch much because I had to keep the pitch count for Jarrett's team. Ea did get some pics, though!
As for my Ea update....There is not much going on. She keeps having contractions on and off. She felt a little better today because she got a good nights sleep. Poor thing!
Here's some baseball pics:
Jarrett and some buddies
Brandon warming up. I love the uniform!
Brayden's big T-ball debut! That's Brandon's old jersey. I can't believe he was that small!

I'm Not Nuts!

I just thought that I would let you all know that, once again, I'm not nuts! Brad Paisley and his wife named their son Jasper!
So anyway! Jarrett and I both had eye doctor appointments today. Jarrett's eyes got a little worse and I now have an astigmatism in both eyes. I'm not any blinder and my dead spot hasn't grown. Yay me!
Jarrett's game got canceled because of rain! Poo!
That's all! Bye!

Updates!

Here's a few updates:
Ea's still having contractions on and off. She went to work all day today while having contractions. They're not bad but bad enough to feel like crap. The poor girl is miserable. I think she is getting tired of us pestering her about it. I would be too!
I dropped my Amish neighbor boys off at their house and there was a van parked in the driveway with 30 day tags. I didn't really think anything of it. Then I saw the Amish guy driving it. Huh? Come to find out they are turning Mennonite. I wonder how that works! Do they get electric? Do they have to switch churches? Do they get shunned? Gosh, I have so many questions. I guess it wouldn't be polite to ask. Then again when has that ever stopped me! Ha, ha, ha!
Brandon brought home a paper with a 99% and a Social Studies test with 100%! Go Brandon! I'm not sure how he is doing in math but we are practicing everyday! He still just doesn't act like he is getting the multiplication. We found some games on the computer to play and I hope they help!
As far as the baseball goes.......Caryn and Kristy are both right! My boys are my # 1 priority. Sometimes I need to remember that they need to learn to figure out how to solve their problems. It just stinks that another parent would want to hold other kids back from enjoying their baseball season. And I'm mean! I almost automatically start thinking negative thoughts instead of thinking the positive when it comes to things that involve the kids. At work I can use the "Well it's better than...." saying. In times like these it's hard because I want it all for my kids. I know that is unrealistic but there is always that hope that they will never have to know disappointment. I'm not talking material things either. My goal for now is to smile and keep my thoughts to myself. For those of you that know me, That is going to be a big challenge!

Why Can't I?

Why can't I be one of those Moms that stands on the sidelines and smiles no matter what? Why can't I be happy as long as the kids are happy? Why can't I ever keep my mouth shut? Why can't I go sit in the car and curse in silence?
Yes, boys and girls, baseball has started! It all started with Jarrett's scrimmage Thursday night. They played 3 innings. Jarrett played outfield twice and sat the bench once. For those of you that haven't been around the last couple of years, Jarrett is an All-star third baseman. Has been since the day he started baseball. Jarrett was also a starting pitcher last year. Did he even get to pitch? No! All the other seventy pitchers on the team did, but not Jarrett! I thought "OK, it is a scrimmage." "Lets see how the first game goes."
Friday night.... Brandon's scrimmage. They played 3 innings and Brandon sat for two of them. They have 13 kids on the team and he sat out twice! I was pissed! Brandon's team isn't full of talent like Jarrett's but everyone should get an equal chance to play.
Saturday morning......Jarrett's first game. Where was Jarrett in the line-up? Oh that's right he wasn't in it at all! He was bench! The head coach wasn't there, so the second in command was in charge. I think the other two coaches felt bad for Jarrett. They both came over to talk to me. Jarrett's team has almost all really, really good ball players. We have at least two kids that can play each position! Did they all get a chance? No! This guy subbed in outfielders only till one of the other coaches stepped in. Then they started subbing in the infielders. I was pissed and I know I wasn't the only one this time.
Finally in the end Jarrett and his friends got to play some infield. BTW Jarrett's team won 11 to 1. They do have a really good group of boys!
Now if only Momma can settle down. No we don't rant and rave in front of people or the kids. No we don't create a big scene. Jarrett is told that he needs to prove himself just like all the other kids. with all the good players on one team everyone needs to take turns. He's OK with it. I think he was hurt a little that he had to sit the bench but he never complained. Why can't I be like that?

Closer Yet!

Ea started having contractions this morning! They were 2 to 3 minutes apart. Off to the hospital they went. Mom and I soon followed. Here's how it went:
Back contractions that they couldn't monitor. 2 cm dilated. Baby was still high.( Jesse thinks they thought she was nuts)
Then they took her off the monitor.
Then they put her back on the monitor. Good contractions! 2 to 3 minutes apart.
They let her go like that for a while.
Then they checked her again. Not much change. The baby dropped farther but that's about it.
Then the doctor decided that they would stop the labor and send her home. They came in and gave her a shot to stop the contractions. The shot made her feel like crap! The contractions got erratic and then got harder. They were still 2 to 3 minutes apart! The shot didn't work so they let her go for a while. ea said they just pissed her uterus off! LOL
Then they checked her again. The baby dropped more but still no change in the cervix. So the doctor decided to send her home! What????? She was still having contractions. Still 3 minutes apart. Still pretty hard! The nurses told her that they would see her tonight! I still don't understand why they didn't keep her.
That baby will be here soon!

Closer...

Ea went to the doctor and she is dilated 2 cm! That means she could go into labor at any time.....Or she could stay that way for weeks! LOL The doctor told her everything looks good and he doesn't need to see her for 2 more weeks.
We got all the boys baseball schedules today. We decided that she either has to have this baby tonight or wait until the calender clears up some time in June! I guess she could have it early on a Saturday morning. That would give her Saturday, Sunday and most Mondays to recover! Of course I'm just kidding!
BTW This little boy still doesn't have a name!

Fluff!

Just wanted to start this post off by saying that my so-called friend, Stacie, injured me at work today! Ha, Ha, Ha! Take that! Now she's going to leave some silly comment about how I started it. Don't believe her!
I really don't have much to say. Jarrett is at practice. I'm watching Oprah. I never watch it but Kenny was on. I love Kenny! I wish it would stop raining! Jarrett has a scrimmage on Thursday and I hope it's not raining then.
Brayden had his first practice last night. Brandon had practice later so we went early. Unfortunately it was raining so they were done. I just went so I could check for hot Dads! There really aren't any on Jarrett or Brandon's team! I mean, except for my hunk of a husband! Love you dear!
Did I mention how much Easter candy is in this house? It's sitting in the kitchen calling my name. I think I even heard the Peeps cry because they want me to eat them! Eyes first of course!
See! I told you I didn't have much to say! Mostly just fluff!

Happy Easter!

Last night I had a dream that Ea had her baby. At least I think it was Ea. I had to ride a bike through the inner city to get to the run down apartment the baby was in. So anyway in my dream she gave birth to a gingerbread boy! LOL It's name was Aidan Joseph. It pooped little gingerbread poop on me. So anyway, in real life this little fella still doesn't have a name. We all went to church this morning and a little baby boy was being baptized. What was the little guys name? Wait for it...... Wait for it....... Jasper! See I'm not the only crazy one! Ha!
Yesterday we went to an Easter Egg Hunt in Heather's town. All the kids had fun and got a lot of candy! Here's the pictures.
This is most of our kids lined up and ready to go. Jarrett's friend Parker came with us.
This is the nieces and nephews after they grabbed all the loot!
Here's a picture of my boys coloring Easter eggs!

Don't they look so innocent?

I remember When.....

The funniest thing happened this morning. After reading the comments you guys left, I was off to read all the "bad" news on AOL. Then a little advertisement popped up for this site gnn.com. check it out! Isn't it funny the way things happen?
Every morning at work they play a game on the radio called "First Line of The Song". Yesterday I got it right and Stacie was making fun of me because she didn't think I knew who sang it. It was Leeann Womack's "Last Call". It made me realize something funny about myself. I could remember exactly where I was the first time I heard that song. The boys and I were driving down county road 201 to one of their baseball games and it was the premiere for it on the radio. They wouldn't tell you who it was until later but I never heard. I guessed Dolly Parton.
So anyway the funny thing is I can't remember half the time whether the kids fed the dog or not but I can remember this stuff! Seriously! Ask Ea. I'll ask Brandon 10 times in one evening if he fed the dog.
I can remember what Jason was wearing the first time I saw him at school. And that he was coming down the stairs from the senior hallway. I can remember stepping stones in someones yard after the funeral or calling hours of my Dad's grandpa. I was really young! I can even remember exactly what row and seat I was sitting in during school, watching T.V. when the challenger exploded. All of those thing are big events but I can also remember small ones. Like the time I walked into the auditorium in the morning before school in JR high. Kristy told me I always smell like Dove soap. Don't ask me why I remember this stuff!
I guess that's just me!
I almost forgot to tell you about the perfect evening we had last night. Jarrett had ball practice so I called Stacie and her boys to see if they wanted to come down and walk the trail. There was eight of us that went. We walked for about an hour then watched the rest of Jarrett's practice. After that we went to the pizza shop and got ice cream! Nothing big happened but it was really nice. I did try to get Stacie to eat a big fattening muffin but she wouldn't! Darn!

What?

What is wrong with people?
Man kills himself and kids because he found out his wife was cheating on him.
Man kills two woman and two kids, sets house on fire and kills himself.
Man kills three police officers.
Woman stabs toddler 100 times with a pair of scissors in apartment building laundry room.
Mom shoots her 20 year old son and herself at a shooting range.
What the hell is going on? Are people just giving up?
We had a little bit of that going on at work today. We worked with a guy today that has been demoted from his job. Our bosses passed out plastic Easter eggs filled with jellybeans and chocolate. I thought it was a nice gesture. Nothing big but what can you say. This guy was making fun of it a little. I played Pollyanna. "At least you have a job." "There are people out there in way worse situations than we are.' He agreed and didn't say much after that.
Then the guy I used to fight with from my old department stopped over at my line. He was going on and on about how he told them to fire him. How he is doing all these things to get fired and nobody is doing anything about it. How he is constantly complaining about everyone and everything. Give me a break!
I'm not always the optimist but things aren't that bad. There are days when I want to shut the doors and not talk to anyone but do I? No. I still get up every morning and do what I have to do. When my family is being shitty,(which happens a lot) do I cut off all contact? No. I still have Thanksgiving, birthday parties, Fourth Of July parties, and I still invite everyone.
I couldn't ever imagine things getting so bad that you would have to resort to all the things people are doing. Nuts! Nuts, I tell you!

Blah!

I really don't have anything to say but I'm trying to avoid paying the bills! Our checking account is depressing! So anyway here I sit.
Ford came for a visit today at work. That means that we are not allowed to listen to the radio. How boring! It does make for some interesting conversations. Mostly we just talk about the people we work with. Somehow we got on the topic of "swingers". Don't ask me how. ;) Would you ever want to do that? In my book it's the same as cheating. Plus it would be so hard to find another couple that both you and your husband agreed on. OK, that's just gross!
Anyway.....The boys start Spring Break tomorrow. They had one day of school to make up today. We aren't doing anything special. It's too cold right now anyway!
Blah, blah, blah......I could go on and on about stupid stuff but I better pay the bills!

Raffle Time!

Darn it! I gained a pound! It's probably that evil PMS. I've eaten really good this week. I did have dreams about eating ice cream 5 nights in a row so I got a small cone after baseball practice on Thursday. I only ate half the ice cream off the top and gave the rest to Jason. Then I took one bite of the cone! For me that is amazing!
The boys have started to sell raffle tickets for their one and only fund raiser of the year! Anybody that would like to buy one or some let me know. They are 1 for $5 or 5 for $20. All the prizes are cash. Theses days who couldn't use a little extra cash? All the money they get from selling ticket and the big auction and BBQ go to the school! The school uses the money for different things like paying for the kids field trips. Brandon just went to The Wilderness Center on Thursday. All the kids had a good time and did some outdoor learning.
The boys have to go to school on Monday and then have the rest of the week off for Spring Break. I was thinking about taking a few days off but I better work while I can. Plus I think the weather isn't supposed to be the greatest.

Finally! It's a Girl!

I hope you didn't think Ea had her baby! Not yet! We did get the news Wednesday, that Kevin and Mindy (that's Jason's brother and his wife) are having a girl! Yay! They already have Miss Becka. She will be 4 by time the baby comes. That gives me 4 nieces and 4 nephews!
They have 3 names picked out so far. Here's the list:
Megan-I really don't care for this name. I know some not very nice people with that name. Plus the blond love of Kristy's life shares that name!
Gretchen-I like this name but really can't think of any good nick names. Plus it reminds me of Gretchen Wilson and she is a little trashy.
Abigail-I love this name! I always wanted a little Abby! Plus it goes great with Lynn! That's the middle name I am suggesting!(he, he, he, that's mine) Maybe she'll even have red hair!
Some of you may get a little upset and tell me that I shouldn't post this. Yeah, yeah, yeah! It's none of my business! Buzz off! I think Kevin has been waiting for this post.
I really think he wants all of you to vote on which name you like best. I also think that he wants all of you to pick Abby! That's the name he and Becka have picked.
I do feel bad for Mindy. She delivers all theses babies and doesn't get to name any of those. Then she has two of her own and doesn't get to name them either! I'd go nuts! If I was a doctor I'd always be trying to get my patients to name them what I want! Good thing I don't do that now. Isn't that right Ea?

Holly and Mark Almost Ruined It!

Isn't it great when your pregnant sister lets you use her pee! Ea took a pregnancy test so I could prank Jason on this fine April Fools Day!
I got 2 questions of "What the F*ck is this?" and 1 "How did this happen?" It was hilarious! That only lasted for about a minute, till he figured out what day it was. It was definitely worth the look on his face! I was almost positive that Mark Nolan and Holly Strano, from the channel 3 morning news, were so going to ruin it for me. I was watching the 5 a.m. news and Jason was in the other room. They kept saying that it was April Fools Day over and over. I finally just shut the T.V. off! LOL
If you think that was good you should hear what Ea did to Jesse! She woke him up this morning and told him they had to go to the hospital because she was having contractions! I would have loved to have seen that! Did you pull any good pranks?
