So Proud Of My Boys!

That's right boys and girls......It's baseball season! Around here we don't go spring, summer, fall, and winter. It's baseball, golf, football, and basketball! More importantly, it is also the end of the third 9 weeks of school. Brandon got all A's and B's! We are so proud and so is he! This will be the 1st time EVER that he made the All A's and B's list! He has progressed in leaps and bounds in the last 3 months.
He is now taking the Adderal 2 times a day and has no ill effects from it. We still see some little things that may never change. He gets agitated if his schedule changes alot and gets irritated very easily by little things. That could be because he IS my son! LOL I am the same way! Our saving grace has been his Ipod. He listens to it and it helps block out all the little things. I have a friend that is just beginning this journey with her son. The biggest thing to remember is that no child is the same and you may have to try 100 different things before you find the 1 thing that is right for your kid. Never stop trying and be open to anything! You don't want to miss out on a chance like Brandon has been given!
I don't do well with the mushy stuff...so....back to baseball!!
Jarrett has made the Hot Stove Silver team! I was worried that he wouldn't because Jarrett has a very laid back attitude when it comes to some things. He is just like "Eh. Whatever happens, happens." Not this time! He really tried and worked hard! We are proud of him! They are gonna have one tough team! All the talent from his age group is amazing! They won the Jr High WCAL(Wayne County Athletic League) in football and in basketball! Now they need to kick some baseball butt! Even though it's not technically the WCAL this time but they will be great! Brandon's team also looks good. Yes, I am helping to coach. It is a little weird because we live in an area where we are still a little behind in the times. I still get the "women should be at home" vibe a little. Not from the head coach but a few of the other Dad's and some of the boys. I just say whatever and move on. It is a little funny, though. We shall see how the season goes!

That's terrific for both Brandon and Jarrett.

Just one question about Brandon which you may not want to answer. Has his personality changed...perhaps more deadpan or non-responsive to people he's around? That happened to Tom with his meds.

I can't believe how well Brandon is doing. I am so proud of him. He's really overcome so much and even when he struggled he had a sweet disposition. Good kid!

Brandon is the same boy he has been. Sweet as can be when he wants but mean as Hell when he needs too! The only time he gets out of wack is when they adjust his meds.
